Giving Hunger the Blues
Today we are participating in Giving Hunger the Blues, which is a super fun event that benefits All Faiths Food Bank. The food bank is one of our favorite charities because they help feed hungry families. They are having a hard time keeping food on the shelves right now. If you’re in the Sarasota area and need something to do today, come down to Hillview street to listen to great live music, eat some good food and have a few beers for a good cause.

New Year’s Eve Menu
Well, folks, 2012 is quickly approaching. New Year’s Eve is one of our busiest and most-anticipated nights of the year… as I am sure it is for many restaurants. We usually offer some fancy dinner for two or pre-fixe menu for about $30 per person, but this year we decided to do things a little differently. We don’t want people to feel like they have to come out and spend an arm and a leg on a special menu when they really just want the good food that we always have. So, we are offering our regular dinner menu, and our 2 Dine for $39 menu is still in effect. We also understand that a lot of people want to “dine” on New Year’s Eve, and we will certainly have the dishes for those that want to do so. We are offering some spectacular specials… things that we normally don’t have the pleasure of serving. We are a pretty casual place, so we don’t often get to serve things like sea bass and bok choy and dilled peas. I recommend making reservations for the 31st… like I said before… we’ll be busy! Without further ado, here is our New Year’s Eve menu:
Coupons for Tots
A couple of years ago, we launched a fundraising effort for Toys for Tots. It was very successful and we were able to raise several hundred dollars for the local Toys for Tots chapter. Toys for Tots is a wonderful program that gives Christmas gifts to children who might not otherwise receive anything for Christmas. With the economy in it’s current state, that number of children is only rising. This is how Coupons for Tots works: you donate $5 to Toys for Tots and we give you a Madfish Grill coupon. Each coupon is different… you might get a 10% off coupon one day and a free dessert the next. We’ll have a coupon box up at the front desk, and any of our staff can take donations. Every penny of your donations goes to the kids… we’d love to be able to give $500 to Toys for Tots this year! In addition to taking monetary donations, we’ll have a Toys for Tots box up by the front door should you wish to donate a new, unwrapped toy.
